Amongst the many trends of the summer, I love spotting the beauty trend of wearing metallic-colored make-up. I have been seeing so many Fashionistas rock this trend this summer and I have noticed the trend spreading on Fashionistas on social media. This summer there have been a multiple of cosmetics brands to release metallic-colored lipsticks and lip glosses. As a lover of glitter and make-up I definitely have a love for these metallic lipsticks and own some myself!
I find the best way to wear a metallic lip color is on a natural, glowing look. You use it dress up a natural look and simple go-to-class outfit or even while out doing summer activities. A metallic sheen on the lips can brighten up a look without the disco or over-the-top glitter look. Especially when you pair a metallic lip with a nice bronzer or highlighter on the cheeks.
I was glad to catch this Fashionista on her way to a summer course wearing a metallic lip color called Zebra from the ColourPop Ultra Metallic Line. It went well with her natural make-up look and laid back headed-to-class outfit. It gave her a pop without having to wear too much make-up on these scorching hot summer days.
What’s on the BEAUTY BAR?:Â To create a similar look a light BB Cream would be great to use in place of foundation if you are going to be out in the heat and walking to class. Also, a nice bronzer and highlight to add some color and natural glow to the face and cheeks would look great with the metallic lip.
