BEAUTY BAR: Metallic Tattoos And The Natural Essentials

This Fashionista is trying one of the coolest trends in make up, and that is the metallic fake tattoo! I believe that the key to the fake tattoo is keeping the rest of your outfit and make-up simple. This Fashionista has her own real tattoo, and matches it with a small silver metallic tattoo. She accents the tattoo with a fun and tough bracelet since the rest of her outfit is soft. She also has great “lazy” make-up tips as a make-up artist, for you to look effortlessly natural.

This Fashionista uses a CC Cream by the Face Shop. I have also used this product before. This CC cream feels lighter on your skin than a liquid foundation, providing brightening and SPF protection! Remember to always protect your skin. This CC Cream blends very well and I’ve used it as a concealer as well. This Fashionista sets the cream with Inglot’s Mattifying Pressed Powder. Using a mattifying pressed power is great to stop shine (especially in the summer!) and using a pressed powder is a great cost saver vs. using a loose powder. You won’t be loosing any powder when you open the compact! She also uses Tarte’s Park Avenue Princess Contour Palette which helps with strengthening your cheek bones by creating beautiful lines and comes with a light blush for a natural glow. She finishes it off with MAC’s Mineralize Skinfinish in Soft & Gentle to provide shine where she wants it to be.

For this Fashionista’s eyes, she uses Nudestix’s Magnetic Eye Color in Immortal. This eye shadow stick is perfect because you can use it all over your eye, and blend out the the edges with your fingers to create a natural smokey look without the fuss of multiple shadows! She lines her lids with Essence’s Liquid Liner in Black. This liner is inexpensive for $2.99, waterproof and stays in place all day! Winging out the liner gives your eyes definition. It makes your look seem tough but feminine at the same time. Lastly, finish off with some mascara!

What’s on the BEAUTY BAR? To recreate this look, keep it natural. Start with a foundation that protects your skin with SPF. Beautiful skin can take you a long way, so take care of it! If you aren’t sure what to do, Someone once told me, “if you don’t have the time to do your make-up, at least do your brows!” This Fashionista and I both use the DIPBROW Pomade from Anastasia Beverly Hills in medium brown. A strong filled in brow commands presence in a room and makes you look flawlessly natural. Go with your everyday makeup look to make you feel strong and confident. Then play around with the metallic tattoos! Your make up is your canvas, and the tattoos are accents. If you’re feeling adventurous try Glo Tatts metallic Glow-In-The-Dark Temporary Tattoos! Brighten and offset the metallics with a beautiful lipstick and voila, your look is sealed with a kiss.
