One of my favorite hair trends that I saw around campus last semester was what people like to call “space balls”, but I am sure somewhere there is a more technical term. These “space balls” are two buns at the top of your head, opposed to one, and I think they add a whimsical vibe to any outfit. This Fashionista decided to add a twist and instead of parting her hair down the middle, she parted it on the side. I have also seen people do things such as making the part a zig-zag or adding some glitter down the part. Whether you add a twist to the hair look or keep it classic, the hair is sure to be the focus of the look.
To recreate this hair look, all she did was let her hair lay on her natural part on the side of her head, rather than the middle, and pulled both pieces up to two ponytails on the top of her head. From there she twisted the ponytails into two buns and secured them in place. A regular bun is a go-to hair look for me, so the “space buns” is a great option when you want to spice it up.
This look was paired alongside an über feminine outfit. Your attention automatically goes to the grey Forever 21 faux thigh-high boots, similar to these, contrasting the black skater skirt and turtleneck. Because she was wearing an eye-catching hairstyle and fabulous boots, toning town the rest of the outfit in all black was a conscious choice. The rest of the makeup was also minimalist and a classic brown lipstick rounded out the look.
