Pixie cuts have become increasingly popular, all starting with Emma Watson chopping her locks in 2010. Since then we’ve seen celebrities like Charlize Theron, Jennifer Hudson and even Queen B take the dive and go the short hair route. This Fashionista can easily be placed among the pixie cut greats. From (literally) head to toe she’s rocking the hair trend along with the rest of her casual, polished look.
Anyone can take the plunge (I’m itching for the scissors myself), but bold facial features especially suit a pixie cut. This Fashionista’s dark hair color, strong brows and not to mention stunning eyes all work in her favor. Her cute cut serves as the perfect frame for the rest of her face.
There are a number of small touches on this outfit as well that are the signs of a true Fashionista. One of my favorites is her pair of rose gold oxfords. The popularity of rose gold has peaked in the past year, making it a trend conscious choice (also they’re beautiful and I want a pair, badly). I’m also coveting her faux fur scarf. The fur texture keeps things interesting while adding a winter element that have her overheating with the unusually warm whether we’ve been having.
What’s on the BEAUTY BAR: Once you have the haircut, if you’re looking to recreate the rest of this strong featured look, à la Lily Collins, it’s easy enough to fill in your brows to make them a little bolder. There are plenty of tutorials online, all you need is a good brow pencil. Alternatively, you can match this Fashionistas makeup with a nude colored lipstick (I’m partial to Pink Buff 94) or up the ante with a daring red.
