We have reached the final month of the year! Where did the time go? December is one of my favorite months for two reasons, Christmas movies and snow. We have to say goodbye to the summer heat and hello to sweaters, boots and blanket scarves. Luckily, here in the midwest and particularly Iowa, we have yet to receive our first snowfall.
I wanted to capture a look that fit the lifestyle here currently. The hot trend around campus is of course the knee-high boots. These have been a huge hit within the last few months and come in many different styles. Whether it be a heeled knee-high boot or a flat one like the one this Fashionista is wearing, they pair very well with a classy and chic style. The sleek black boot creates a more dressy look and allows for the shoes to be paired with any color of outfit.
Who doesn’t love a floral dress? I think everyone could use a few of these in their closet. Even for both the summer and winter seasons, florals can be worn all year long. In particular, this look is great for the winter since it has long sleeves. This dress could also be paired with a long sleeve cardigan and a pair of your favorite tights. Depending on how dressy or warm you wish to be, adding tights to any outfit can easily change the look of an outfit. Tights are also great because of the different options they come in, whether that be color types or designs.
With the use of a few accessories, this outfit can be complete in a matter of minutes. Find your favorite watch or bracelets to add the final touch before leaving the house.
