BEAUTY BAR: Spread Your Wings

I am truly amazed by those who can apply their makeup and make it look flawless. Some people look like they’ve just stepped out of a makeup tutorial video, and I can’t help but admire it. Makeup is a form of art like no other. Among my favorite makeup trends is winged eyeliner. It is so classic and makes everyone look beautiful! If I could have a day all to myself, I would devote it to learning how to perfectly execute winged eyeliner.

This Fashionista is an expert with a makeup brush! Not only is her winged eyeliner perfect, but her outfit is coordinated to match. Fall is quickly approaching and it’s no longer warm enough for a cute sleeveless romper. However, paired with a white cable knit cardigan and sandals it is perfect for that odd time between summer and fall. Neither her outfit, nor her makeup is overdone, making it the perfect casual look to go to class, hang with friends or meet a date.

Her makeup is done in neutral colors that brighten her face, so it’s eye-catching, but understated. Her eye shadow is blended so it looks natural, but also adds some shimmer. A nude lip color makes her eyes the highlight of her face. Overall, the look exhibits her natural beauty in a simple, yet classic way.

What’s on the BEAUTY BAR: I was fortunate enough to get this Fashionista’s makeup routine and the products she uses! To get this look, you’ll need to begin by applying a foundation primer all over your face. If you want to get the her exact look, fill in and highlight your eyebrows; make sure to blend! Next, apply concealer and foundation and apply lotion on the bottom half of your face, using a beauty blender on your forehead and eyes. Then, you’ll want to apply contour to the hollows of your cheekbones, the outside of your face (forehead and jaw) and your nose. For the eye shadow, this Fashionista uses the Naked 2 palette. Apply the shade “half baked” on your lid first and then “snakebite” on the outer half of your lid and the lower half. Blend. For eyeliner, start from the outside and work your way in. Create the wing first and connect to the inner corner of your eye. Then, apply mascara and lipstick and voila!
