Spring has finally sprung and I think we all couldn’t be happier. Walking around campus is finally enjoyable again thanks to the budding flowers growing on every tree and the green bushes and grass coming back to life.
I love transitioning from heavy sweaters and boots to short sleeved sheer tops and sandals to accompany the warmer temperatures. The color palette from winter to spring changes as well. Around my campus, I’m beginning to see pastel colors emerge such as soft pinks, yellows, and whites. Makeup above all, however, plays one of the bigger roles in transitioning as we move from season to season.
This Fashionista screams the word “spring” from head to toe. Her clothes surely convey a spring mood, but it was her makeup that caught my eye. Overall, her makeup wasn’t anything overdone or loud, however, she pulled off an effortless and lightweight beauty look. She did so by brushing on a light brown shadow from the Covergirl nudes palette in addition to swiping her cheeks with minimal blush from Nars. She lightly lined her top eyelid with a thick black pencil as well. The lipstick was what really tied everything in together though. Its soft pink shade complimented her light wash jeans and white tank. You can never go wrong with NYX. It’s long lasting and this shade doesn’t really beg for peoples attention like other brands or shades might. It’s subtle and gets the job done right. What more could a girl ask for in a lipstick?
