Summer is the time for trying new and fun things. Whether it is a new place to live, a new wardrobe, or a new hairstyle! I am always trying to find new cute ways to do my hair for these summer months. I love styles that aren’t too hard and time consuming to do as I am always on the go.
When I saw this Fashionista’s hair, I knew I found a winner! Half buns are totally in these days so I can see this style catching on quickly. I love how she revamped the “normal” half bun with a French braid (she says it works great with a fish tail as well)! She also added loose curls but it can be as cute with straight hair as well. Her trick is to tease the hair slightly before braiding it and putting it in the bun to help with volume.
This Fashionista loves to rock this look while running weekend errands and out to brunch. You can totally tell she is ready for summer in her white jeans and bright colored off-the-shoulder shirt. She added a simple layered necklace and a few bracelets to complete her look. I really like the simplicity of the jewelry for this look because it doesn’t take away from the hair. Overall this is a totally RAD style and I can’t wait to try it out this summer!
What’s on the BEAUTY BAR: To achieve this look, all you need is a hair elastic, curling iron and teasing comb (optional). Lightly tease the hair and braid it into either a French braid or a fishtail. Then you simply twist in into a bun and tie it all together. You can either loosely curl the hair that’s not in the bun or keep it straight. Give it a little hairspray to keep it in place and off you go!
