Playing with different hairstyles is a fun way to spice up any outfit. During the summer months and even the months transitioning into fall, getting your hair out of your face is definitely necessary. There are a few ways to accomplish this look, such as a ponytail, a braid or my favorite, the bun. Buns are great when you’re sitting in class and all you can think about is how annoying your hair is. To accomplish this, all you need is your ponytail and you are good to go.
The bun can go with so many different outfit choices such as being comfortable, dressing cute or even dressy, if done the correct way. Buns are extremely versatile; however, you have to make sure the bun style matches the event. For example, if you are going to a dance or out with friends, you do not want to have the messy bun look. Your bun needs to be smooth in the front and tied tight. This Fashionista did an amazing job with her bun since it’s very neat and tight. In addition to her bun, I love her grunge-inspired outfit. The black ripped skinny jeans are a great touch in making an ensemble stand out. I personally like to cuff my skinny jeans similar to this Fashionista. When jeans are cuffed it highlights the shoes by drawing your eye down to the leg. To top off the edgy look, she added black puma sneakers.
What’s on the BEAUTY BAR: If you want to try this neat and tight bun, there are only a few simple steps to follow. First, get any size ponytail you like. Then, take all your hair and make the usual bun but try to smooth out the front. One helpful tip is to buy some bobby pins to help secure any fly away pieces.
