It’s that time of year again! The holidays have come to a close, and, again, we begin that awkward transition between winter and spring. Hopefully this transition doesn’t include many months of snow! I’ve always found that with this time of year comes, possibly a new found motivation to hit the gym, but also a kind of laziness in the process of getting ready. You still want to look fabulous and put-together, but the motivation to actually sit down and do it is pretty diminished. School’s back in session and is starting to take up more time, leaving us less time to focus on ourselves.
This Fashionista has a way of being minimalist in the makeup department, yet still showing off an effortless and easy look! Even better, her natural face paired with a bold lip is being seen all across the runway! Red lips, to be exact; a classic making a comeback!
So the trick to get this gorgeous Fashionista’s look is to just go easy on yourself! Don’t stress and be minimal! Let your true beauty shine through with a very minimal face and eye makeup and add your pop of color with the lips.
Whats On the BEAUTY BAR: Take the foundation of your choice, a powder or BB cream will do if you prefer less coverage and apply that to your face. This Fashionista opted for Too Faced Air Buffed BB Cream in the shade “linen glow.” Use the normal foundation routine that your prefer and use daily! Add a touch of bronzer, NYC Smooth Skin Bronzing Face Powder in the shade “Sunny” is a great price and has excellent quality! Also, a warm toned blush helps to create this look, perhaps Stila blush in “Amore.” Next, go in and darken your eyebrows. The eyebrows really are the frame of your face and can do wonders for a minimal makeup look! This Fashionista is wearing an e.l.f. Cosmetics brow kit. This is a quality product at a price under five dollars! Next add a small amount of any skin-toned eye-shadow you have. Here she used a shade from a Too Faced palette entitled “Jingle All The Way,” but any shadow of your skin tone will work. This will simply smooth out the look of those lids while keeping them looking natural! Add a very small amount of mascara, she stayed classic and went with Covergirl Lashblast! Lastly, go on to the lips! You can line them if you choose, or go right for the lipstick, although lip balm would be a good idea to apply first to moisturize the lips. After you’ve applied the lipstick, your good to go! Red is going to be hot in the coming seasons, so any red lipstick would be a good idea! This Fashionista opted for a more neutral pink to complement her outfit, a NARS Satin Lip Pencil in the shade “Rikugien.” Whatever color you choose, remember, the lips are your place to go crazy with this look, so take advantage of it!
