When you think of the fall, three things should come to mind: the falling leaves, the start of the academic year and of course, Halloween. But you might want to add one thing to your list: many beauty magazines, such as Allure, declared that this season is the comeback of sexy, smoky shadow alongside a very dramatic dark red-colored lip or a natural-toned lip.
Let me now introduce you to this Fashionista who l spotted on my way to my lecture one slightly sunny afternoon. The one thing that amazes me about this Fashionista’s makeup is how she could pull off the smoky look, but make it look flawless, natural and match her skin tone.
This Fashionista told me secret some beauty tips to help pull of that amazing look and l’m sure she won’t mind if I share it with you. If your goal is to create natural sultry eyes and rock the smoky eyes look, you don’t need to pay attention to the rest of your face; just a BB cream will do. Emphasise your eyes by going lighter on lips while adding some drama and harmonize the look with a statement liner. Lastly, if you’re lucky enough and have a perfectly symmetrical full lips, then a simple lip moisturiser will do the job, as you don’t want to take any attention from the rest of your face. However, if you still feel the need for a bit of color, just add a lip gloss without overdoing it.
What’s on the BEAUTY BAR: Start by lining the eyebrows with Anastasia Beverly Hills Dip brow pomade and then use nude eyeshadow classics from the Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette, or alternatively the Naked 3 palette will do for completing that smoky eye shadow look. Finish the look with a swish of Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara  on the lashes and a dab of Nars Stella lip gloss on the lips. Remember, less is always more. Now just head down to your nearest mirror and try it; we await your verdict.
