BEAUTY BAR: The Shorter the Better

I have decided to designate this post to the fiercest and tiniest Fashionista I have come across yet!  This Fashionista strutted around campus with no hesitation. What caught my eye was her small size, her amazing blonde pixie hair cut, and her fearless style.

My first thoughts were “oh my goodness I wish I was brave enough to cut my hair this short, I love it!”  After then allowing those thoughts to become words, she told me she had always been the same way.  This Fashionista, like many of us, feared cutting her hair short for years.  It wasn’t until one day she not only cut it, but went completely blonde, that she found her true style.  Personally, I have found that being blonde has always been a difficult upkeep, and I learned her must-have products were purple shampoo by Joico to keep her blonde vibrant, and strengthening oil to keep it strong.  For the style itself, she says this is the best part.  Not only does she feel more confident and free with her short hair, but the time it takes to style is only a fraction of what it used to take.  Not only were these cute curls were done in minutes, using a thin straightener, they were done the day before I saw her.  Because her hair is so short and healthy, she uses a quick style paste by Kenra, and is good to go for up to two days.  I’m not sure about everyone else, but this sounds like a dream come true to me.

In regards to her glowing face, her highlighter was responsible.  This Fashionista insists that highlighter is a must, and she uses the Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit.  Because her highlighter is so powerful, it is important not to forget your blush.  Too Faced blush, particularly “baby love,” is the shade she uses, however she says that they are all beautiful, just make sure you don’t go too crazy, or else you could look like you’ve just ran a marathon.

This amazing haircut allowed this Fashionista to branch out of her basic style, and allowed her to confidently strut around campus in her denim skirt and trench coat without hesitation, something she said she never would have done before her new look.  Lesson learned: get that haircut or hair color you’ve always been dying to try, you just might fall in love!
