Rocking under eye dots, this Fashionista has definitely taken her inspiration straight from the catwalks. This look was first seen in the Givenchy spring 2012 runway show, then gained fashion approval in Anna Sui fall 2012 and the spring 2015 catwalk of Rochas Paris.
When I saw this Fashionista, I immediately noticed her bright red lips, accented polka dot eyes, and holographic iridescent eyeshadow. So, I knew I had to share this with all of you fellow beauty lovers!
This simple, but subtle beauty trend of putting little dots below the eyes in eyeliner makes the eyes appear bigger and brighter. Overall, it’s a look which easily transitions from the catwalk to street style. Not only is it really cool and edgy, but it is also really simple to achieve.
To create this iridescent look on her eyes she used: Topshop’s Chameleon Glow eyeshadow in the shade changeling, Ambush from the Urban Decay Vice4 palette, L’Oréal Paris’ Volume Million Lashes Mascara, and Maybelline eyeliner. She finished her makeup look by applying YSL lipstick in orange imagine. Finally, she used Nivea moisturizer, Rimmel’s Match Perfection foundation, and the NYX contour palette.
I personally have always gone all out makeup wise for an evening on the town and an understated natural look at uni, so witnessing this bold look on campus is really inspiring. This Fashionista is non-conformist, without a care in the world, and rightly so as this look screams confidence.
As if her beautiful look wasn’t enough this Fashionista also graces us with her striking style, too. She layers an ASOS turtleneck jumper under a denim polka dot jumpsuit from Monki. She then accessorizes with a Vivian Westwood necklace, Topshop leopard print coat, and some white Nike trainers. This Fashionista has definitely got a thing for contrasting prints, which she certainly pulls off effortlessly in this ensemble.
People watching has taught me that our personality and mood can be reflected through our personal styling and beauty, so always think out of the box and let your look say who you are. Be adventurous, like this Fashionista and try out new beauty products from a bright mascara to a creatively placed spot. Be bold, take risks, and shine.
