Summertime is finally here, and for a lot of people, that means going to the beach. Whether you live on the shore or are going on a weekend getaway, looking cute and casual for a night at the beach can be tricky. The sun starts to set and the wind picks up, making the sweltering sand that you were tanning on just hours before become chilly. Instead of opting for the sweatpants and sweatshirt look, take inspiration from this outfit that will keep you both warm and fashionable.
The statement piece in this look is definitely the pants. The blue and white vertical stripes give off a very nautical feel. They are a nice lightweight, making them the perfect pant to wear on a summer night. I paired the pants with a plain gray T-shirt but tied it up on the bottom for some added flair. Tying up T-shirts is an effortless way to transform any outfit. It can bring shape to the ensemble, taking it from drab to fab.
The next step: accessorize. One of my favorite trends for summer is layered necklaces. Wearing multiple necklaces at different lengths gives detail to a plain get up. It makes any outfit look put together. I continued this all-silver look with a thin bangle and a chunky ring.
No summer outfit is complete without a pair of sunglasses and sandals. For this look, I went with some trendy hexagonal sunglasses and plain black sandals. The sunglasses are a given for the final moments until sunset, while the shoes are ideal to slip off and feel the sand in between your toes.
