Check Out How To Take Your Beauty Look From The Runway to Class

New York Fashion Week has graced us once again with killer looks on and off the runway. My favorite part of the season are the couture shows. The designs embody such creativity that leaves us inspired to change up our closets.

Now the show is all about the designs, but the makeup looks worn by the models help to bring the whole look together. With inspiration from couture designers like Jean Paul Gaultier, Valentino and Christian Dior. Here are some makeup looks fresh off the runway that you can bring right into the classroom.

The classic dark lip with a twist. Jean Paul Gaultier played with rich tones in his couture line for fall 2016. The browns, oranges and deep red tones were carried into the models’ makeup to help pull the entire look together. Fall is the perfect season to reach for the darker shades in your makeup but typically we see different variations of the classic red lip. This season change it up and go for a dark berry or wine shade. (Photo via @amberrenooo)

Bold Brows. Bold brows are still a thing. Rather than the perfect Instagram brow, the more natural and fuller brow has stolen the spotlight. Now not all of us were born with a Cara Delevingne pair of brows but don’t worry! The goal is to keep your eyebrows looking natural and fuller. Take your favorite brow pencil and fill in the less dense areas of your brows then follow with a tinted brow gel. (Photo via @aminah_mck)

The Natural Glow.  Valentino‘s fall 2016 line took us back in time and his model’s makeup can help us to appreciate the healthy glow look. Now I know this will be hard but step away from your blinding highlighter and pick up something a little more subtle. Try a cream highlighter rather than a powder, the cream allows for a flawless blend with your foundation and a beautiful glow. (Photo via @gretchen_reese)

When in doubt Smoke it out. A smokey eyeliner dominated the runway. Christian Dior‘s models rocked a graphic eyeliner on their top lash line and a smokey bottom lash. Give this trend a try by ditching the sharp wing for a less precise and smokey liner. Smoke out the top lash and bring the intensity down to your lower lash for a fierce and edgy look.
