Nothing gets me more excited than jumping into a clean plush bed after a long day at my internship or at school. My bedroom happens to be my getaway, as I am surrounded by the panoramic views of lower Manhattan in my Financial District apartment. From the moment I wake up to the moment I fall asleep, I am continually mesmerized by the architecture, culture and vibe that New York City has.
If I had to describe my bedroom style in three words, I would choose minimal, practical and chic. These words can also be used to describe my personal style and aesthetic. My décor and wardrobe fall into the color scheme of whites, blacks and neutrals.
Choosing white linens has been a blessing and a curse. Although I love the classic look of white sheets, I find myself spending time keeping them bright and white! Since I just moved into my apartment, I am looking to fill it up with beautiful artwork and statement pieces like metal décor or even colorful throw pillows to add some personality into my room. At the end of the day, I like to see that my bedroom is a reflection of myself. When it is clean and neat, I feel most comfortable to complete anything!
From working on my personal style blog to just watching Netflix and catching up on my favorite shows like Scandal and The Bachelorette, my bedroom is an extension of myself. My best advice to give someone who is re-decorating their bedroom or dorm is to plan out your room before you go shopping.
