We’ve officially hit the mark in winter where the snow is gray, the temperature is just too low, and the phrase ‘winter wonderland’ is only false advertising. Somehow, that drabness has slipped into our lives as well. While it would be easy to continue throwing on your comfiest joggers and a pair of Uggs, revamping your wardrobe a little might be just the push you need to get you through the gloomy months ahead.
Gold may not be the easiest color to pull off on an daily basis. But adding a little touch of it here and there can turn an otherwise drab look into the inspired outfit you’ve been seeking. Just like most things, the key is moderation. For an easy out, throw it on in the form of your favorite necklace or the hardware on your bag. However, if you’re like me and have decided that 2017 is going to be a daring year, go for something a little more wild.
To get you started on pulling off your golden semester, here are some tips from those who know it best.
Never go for the “easy to pull of”f choice. (Photo via @sonjeur_).

Layer it with something a little more subtle. (Photo via @merelymaggie).
Or add it as a finishing touch. (Photo via @maddyhaller).
Throw it on even when it’s not necessary, because why not? (Photo via @catherineaebrackett).
And most importantly, it makes for the best highlighter. (Photo via @lovelyykelly).
Stay golden, this semester Fashionistas!
