Spring trends carry over into the start of summer, mainly in the months of May and June. I am all for dressing up and looking cute when out and about. However, staying casual is something that I have been doing a lot lately. Platform sneakers are the move when you are trying to stay casual and also look cute. They can give a Fashionista height, comfort, and style. Who wouldn’t want that?
This look is a must for the summer, whether shopping in town, going out to lunch, or having drinks during the day in the city. I chose to wear light wash, ripped jeans from Express and then rolled the bottoms a little to add some flair to the look. A solid white tank top from Free People complemented the white in the sneakers. Over the summer, white looks great on tan skin (I know I get very tan over the summer!) I chose to tie the side of the tank top, giving more flair to the look and adding a point for people to look at first when seeing this outfit around town.
These Steve Madden platform sneakers are the main piece to the outfit and the essential fragment of what summer looks will consist of. As for accessories, I chose to wear my silver watch from Michael Kors and a bedazzled leather bracelet, along with my monogrammed necklace. Oh, and do not forget a pair of sunglasses! These I picked up from Steve Madden.
Who would have ever thought that an outfit could be surrounded by a pair of sneakers? Well, platform sneakers made a comeback towards the end of spring and are now carrying over into summer styles and trends. These sneakers give an extra inch or two for height, which is something that all women want. They can replace a pair of wedges for the day.
