If I have learned one thing about fashion while being in Europe this semester it would have to be that basics are key. The Europeans definitely know how to work a basic in every aspect. It is not common to see Europeans in any outrageous pieces such as a pair of leopard print leggings.
This Fashionista fully embodies European fashion by mixing basics in a way that makes you look and feel fabulous all the time. Europeans really make sure that they are always comfortable as well, because who really wants to walk around the city all day in clothes that are uncomfortable. But one major aspect I have also learned is that Europeans do not wear sweatpants out in public, they always make sure that they look presentable when they leave the house; but they are still always comfortable.
She shows off the Italian fashion in such an effortless way, starting off with a black double-breasted vest that she pairs with a simple black tank top. To dress down her top, she adds a pair of distressed skinny jeans, which are always great piece to add some fun to any outfit. To finish off her outfit, she added her gray suede ankle boots to give some texture and a little more color to the outfit. Last but not least, of course, there is the black leather tote. A student in Italy cannot get through the week without a leather tote to carry their laptop, books, groceries or camera around in. Leather bags are an essential to the Italian student and this Fashionista has chosen a classic black, which can never lead you astray.
She does such an incredible job at honing the Italian fashion. Italians have a great take on fashion and sense of life, there are so many things that we could learn from them.
