In the summer, Florence, Italy, is known for its high temperatures and the locals’ ability to not only deal with it but do so fashionably. It’s not easy to be able to pick out something both trendy and fit for 90-degree weather with no air conditioning.
The first thing that caught my eye was this Fashionista’s big, bold tortoiseshell sunglasses. Their pearlized frames are perfect for her lighter colored dress and don’t look harsh despite their size. What I love most about her sunglasses are the metallic lenses. Their shine adds glamour to her outfit while at the same time tying together her other accessories. Her silver statement necklace stands out against her simplistic outfit and adds the perfect amount of contrast. On her hand, this Fashionista shows off another statement piece with her neutral agate ring. Because of the stones earthiness and simplicity, these rings are extremely versatile and can be paired with anything from jeans to a cocktail dress.
Now, best for last: her shoes. Footwear is by far the most important thing to keep in mind in Italy because the main source of transportation here is your feet. That being said, combining comfort and style isn’t always easy, but her espadrille wedges hit the nail on the head. The low platform makes them comfortable and stable, but she still gets the dressiness of a wedge with the metallic ankle straps and suede front.
Captured: I spotted this Fashionista strutting through the cobblestone streets in the Tuscan capital of Italy, Florence.
