People love to joke about the poor college student stereotype. For many of us though, this is no joke. Finding the funds to update your wardrobe every season, let alone pay for textbooks, can be difficult. However, if you’re looking to revamp your look for spring, it doesn’t have to mean purchasing a whole new wardrobe. The use of a few key accessories, some of which you may already have in the back of your closet, can give your style a new spin for the change of season.
While searching for spring style inspiration in Berlin, I noticed that almost everyone I passed on the street was wearing some sort of headwear. Affordable accessories like hats can be a great way to revive your style for spring. I particularly loved this Fashionista’s look and the way she topped it off with a backwards cap.
This Fashionista’s layering is perfection. I love that she made a summery halter top work for the cooler Berlin air by adding a denim jacket, camouflage button-down and an oversized sweater. The way she paired the cropped halter top with these high-waisted joggers and sneakers exudes cool girl style.
A patterned hat like this is a great way to spice up your look for spring. This Fashionista nailed pattern mixing and created an interesting contrast by pairing a floral hat with a camouflage shirt. Though this outfit has a lot going on with layers, textures and patterns, she keeps it all from becoming overwhelming by sticking to a neutral color palette.
This Fashionista’s creative accessorizing, layering and pattern mixing are all great ways to refresh your wardrobe for spring without breaking the bank.
