Do you feel like every single shirt you’ve seen this fashion season is missing the shoulder fabric? That’s because the shoulder-less tops have been taking over this spring and summer season of fashion, and it is oh so adorable. I ran into this Fashionista on her way to her summer internship, and she was pulling off the shoulder-less shirt so perfectly I had to capture it.
With summer fashion season approaching, the fashion is changing just a bit to keep up. Tops have gone from being shoulder-less to being half top-less! However, I won’t be the one to complain. This fashion trend is so simple and beautiful! The tightly cinched sleeves to hold onto the upper arms is such a clever idea for women to show off more of their collarbones and shoulders while still having the surrounding fabric to cover their arms.
If you get hot easily in the summer time but still love to show off your sense of style, this shirt is perfect to wear for all your favorite summer events! The bright, lilac color of this shirt doesn’t attract too much sunshine which would make the shirt unbearably hot. The material is also light and breathable, which is a must for the summer heat! This Fashionista explained that she purchased this shirt only about a week ago from Forever 21, so it should still be available if you hurry!
With the simplicity of the shirt, it’s easier to pair with more busy bottoms or shoes. This Fashionista kept her choice of bottoms pretty simple and is styling some plain black jeans. She also told me some of her other favorite bottoms to pair the shirt with are white jeans or even dark ripped jeans. So, it’s actually really easy to either dress the shirt up more with the simplistic white or black, or dress it down with some more casual ripped jeans. Her shoes also accompany the outfit so well with the sandal appearance for the warmer weather. The heel gives them a more formal feel. The color of the shoes also compliments the shirt well, giving the outfit more of an earth tone to balance out the bright top with the dark jeans.
As far as accessories go, this Fashionista knew what she was doing! She kept her collarbone area free of any necklaces to show off how simplistic and beautiful the top is all on it’s own. However, she threw on some small rings to give her outfit a tiny bit of silver and sparkle. Her aviator sunglasses help make the outfit look a little less formal outside of her internship office. Her purse adds the finishing touch the outfit truly needed with the, once again, earthy tone similar to the shoes. All together, this outfit screams sunshine and warm weather, and it was put together with absolute success!
