Flowin' Into Summer With Florals

I’ve always been a lover of neutrals. If you take a peek into my closet, you’ll see black, white, gray, and maybe an occasional maroon. It’s simple—neutrals go with everything. But summer calls for a little pop of color and patterns. If you live in Los Angeles like me, you’ll know that one of the best things to do is get dolled up for a day out. My go-to fashion piece is a flowy, patterned kimono. Floral is key for the summer! It’s an easy statement piece that can dress up a casual every day outfit.

First of all, this outfit is perfect for a dressier summer adventure. The light pink tank is comfortable and cute. The best part is the flirtatious lace-up detailing. For the summer, I love switching out my blue denim jeans for some super-skinny white pants. This pair is absolutely amazing! The fit is perfect but unlike raw denim, it’s not tight and uncomfortable. I can wear these all day. My favorite part of this outfit is the floral kimono because it’s a light layer that’s a fashion statement. This kimono pulls the whole outfit together and adds a light layer that gives you some coverage, but won’t make you suffer in the heat. I love that it’s black but still has pops of color in the floral pattern. It acts as a relaxed cover up that’s lightweight and easy to take on and off.

Dressing it up:

Accessorizing is the key to dressing up a simple outfit. The accessories I added give a chic vibe to the outfit. The chunky white heels add a little glamour to a casual outfit but are still perfect for summer vibes. This oversize floppy hat adds easygoing boho feels. The black sunglasses are a must. They’ll keep the sun out of your eyes and give you that classic, glamorous look.

This outfit is so effortless and comfortable, yet it still looks like the work of a true Fashionista! What are some ways you style kimonos for the summer? Let me know in the comments below!
