Happy summer, everyone! It’s officially that time of year where Instagram is filled with travel photos and tourist shots, and you’re envying them. Unfortunately, I don’t have any travel plans for myself this summer, but dressing like I do is half the fun! When packing for a trip, I try my best to pack light with versatile, comfortable items.
This Anthropologie button-down that I wore here is a must-have for your suitcase: You can wear it sightseeing, as a cover-up, or even for comfort on the airplane. (Also, the embroidery on this shirt always reminds me of the famous white villas in Santorini, Greece… extra points for travel style).
I paired the top with some distressed denim shorts that I practically live in during the warmer months. They’re a necessity for traveling this summer because you can wear them again and again. For footwear, I always like to stick to shoes that can handle a lot of walking when going on a trip. The Dolce Vita lace-up sandals pictured are super comfortable and are perfect for a day filled with excursions.
As for accessories, it’s good to keep them to a minimal on vacation to make packing easier and prevent losing anything. I finished the look with a straw Panama hat to keep my face out of the sun and a small crossbody bag to keep my valuables safe at my side. This look could be worn at any time during your vacation, and all the items can be styled differently another day on your trip: An essential to remember while packing! Don’t forget to pack your camera, sunscreen, and an Instagram-worthy swimsuit!
