While May falls in the middle of the calendar year, it is a month marked by endings and new beginnings. The classroom finals and season finales; the beginning of warm weather fashion and internship season. Most notably, this month marks the end of the school year and, for about a quarter of you out there, graduation. It’s a momentous time to say the least.
But it is not just those peaks that should excite you. It’s all those moments in between that are often overlooked. Those special remaining nights with your roommates; discovering a new favorite coffee shop; not getting lost on your way to your internship. Don’t just go through the motions; rushing from one thing to the next.
You spend four years of college preparing for “what happens next.” But appreciate and celebrate those things that are happening right now. Take time this month to be present and revel in all the moments—big and small—before they pass you by.
