Happy Groundhog Day! In case you are simply a Bill Murray fan and don’t know the actual purpose of the holiday, here’s a simple breakdown. A groundhog named Punsuntawney Phil comes out of hibernation, plays the role of amateur Al Roker and decides if we will have an early spring or six more weeks of winter based on the most accurate of sciences—his shadow.
Well, luckily for all of us warm weather fans, Phil did not see his shadow. Hello spring! (Despite the blizzard that is about to hit the Midwest or the cold weather outside.)
