Hi my fellow Fashionistas! My name is Tasia Twiggs and I’m more than excited for my first semester with CollegeFashionista! I’m currently studying fashion merchandising and am originally from Fort Lauderdale, Florida. I grew up always loving fashion and it has been my primary route to express myself. Growing up, I’ve always looked up to my mom for inspiration and now I am inspired by fashion icons such as Vera Wang and Karl Lagerfeld. One of my favorite hobbies is thrifting because not only is it therapeutic, but who doesn’t love a good deal? It’s a fun search for vintage pieces or pieces to take home and create something totally new with! Besides thrifting, some of my favorite stores are H&M, Urban Outfitters and Forever 21.
I would say my style depends on my mood, but the Florida sun is definitely a factor too! I love to be comfortable and stay up to date on the latest trends, as you can tell from the pictures above. This outfit is very simple, but cute, which is what I usually go for because less is more and comfortability is key! A white tube top is essential. I paired it with my favorite joggers from Urban Outfitters. To do the joggers justice, I don’t think you can go wrong with sneakers. I chose my favorite high top Vans from my collection because I felt the pastel pink lightened up the outfit to give more of a girly side to it. To tie the look together, literally, I chose to put a twist on a denim choker because let’s be real, it’s one of the hottest trends right now! The best part is that it is a DIY denim choker! All you need is a pair of old jeans, suede wrap from your local craft store, scissors and measuring tape and wa-la! Since it is such a simple look, I went for two high buns to add some sass and stay cool. I hope you’re inspired by this look, thanks for reading!
