Leather is officially back and it is no longer just for the rockstars in a band. It can be worn many different ways and in various situations. Leather pants and jackets have become a staple item in my closet.
For the pre-fall 2016 collection, Barbara Bui mixed leather pants with many different plaid patchwork sweaters and ponchos. She would pair the pants with pumps or laced boots. The sweaters in combination with the leather create an edgy, rocker-chic look.
Although, I loved the pre-fall 2016 collection by Barbara Bui, I wanted to bring my own personality to the look. I decided to emulate this collection by making it less rocker-chic and more classic. I paired my leather legging pants with a sparkly gold, babydoll T-shirt. The contrast of textures between the pants and the top really make the gold pop and light up the look. I decided to top the outfit off with a pair of black pumps. I felt that this really added to the overall classic look that I was trying to bring to Barbara Bui’s pre-fall 2016 collection.
This collection can be translated in many different ways. Not only can you take these leather pants and bring a classic look to them, but you can make it military grunge, dressy or just keep the traditional rocker-chic look. Barbara Bui’s pre-fall 2016 collection is a great inspiration for anyone with a cute pair of leather pants.
