I was walking down Philadelphia Street when this Fashionisto caught my eye. The first thing I noticed was all of the different colors he was able to pull off at once. Usually, my outfits tend to be minimal, two-colored outfits, usually consisting of black, gray, or olive. This Fashionisto was able to take an olive green hoodie, a brown backpack, a blue denim jacket, black denim pants, and all-white Converse and match them together into one solid look.
The second reason this Fashionisto caught my eye was his white low top Comme des Garçons Play Converse, because I’ve loved these shoes for a long time now and just had to feature him. I’ve wanted the high top version of these sneakers for a while now and plan to get them for my upcoming birthday.
Some key advice is to wear a classic blue denim jacket with a pair of old black jeans that you have laying around. Black denim and blue denim are easy to match and you won’t look like you just stepped out of the ’80s. If you want that vintage-inspired look, then maybe stick with blue denim on blue denim because the Canadian tuxedo is classic.
In addition, keep in mind that a hoodie under a denim jacket is a classic street wear look that you can wear anywhere, from class, to shopping, to errands around town. My favorite look for Fashionistas is a dusty mauve-colored hoodie with a classic blue denim jacket and some cool sneakers.
