In the heart of Florida, winter is nothing but another smoldering season. Beach parties and barbecues continue. The air is still humid, and people are still showcasing their natural (sweaty) glow and having it be mistaken as a luxury highlighter. The trends change, but not to anything that promotes covering up. If anything, people start wearing less clothing than usual. As I was wandering around our local art district, I found a Fashionista that knows exactly how to create an outfit that shows Florida that the “S’winter” vibe isn’t stopping her from sleighing (winter pun).
This Fashionista paired a simple, midi, floral slip dress with a plain white T-shirt underneath. This outfit gave off major ’90s/Rachel Green vibes. The slits on both sides of the dress and the sheer lower panel made it even more trendy and eye-catching. For a way to keep cool while staying stylish, this Fashionista wore platform sandals and a black mini backpack. To top off this look, quite literally, she wore her hair in a perfectly undone, textured way. Each curl managed to look defined and present while maintaining an appearance of effortlessness. This hairstyle can be achieved by using a variety of hair products, including this one.
Tailor this look by pairing your favorite floral slip dress with a white bodysuit to avoid the T-shirt from moving out of place. To contrast the outfit, you can add a metallic or bright colored mini backpack or an eye-popping choker. And, if by chance Florida decides to actually bring in some cool weather, this outfit can be easily adjusted. Simply play around with fun stockings or tights, long sleeve bodysuits and close-toed sneakers or ankle booties! Nothing can hold ’90s babes down!
