It’s confession time: I can be a bit brand obsessed. I always have been. Whether it was wanting the latest Webkinz in third grade or the newest Ugg boots in eighth grade, I’ve always been all about the brand. It was hard for me to grow out of that mindset, as the “hottest” brands are hard on the bank, and I’m a college student who now has to worry about buying food and paying for books. I’ve learned to balance the splurge items with simple, versatile pieces in my wardrobe.
This Fashionista did it right with a mixture of current brands and simple basics to keep it cool. Adidas is everywhere right now, from dressing it up for fashion week to wearing it to the gym. She rocked an iridescent red Adidas jacket that really made her stand out of the crowd. This Fashionista did an awesome job of balancing the jacket with simple basics. She wore a plain, black crop top and a pair of stylish ripped jeans. Over-the-knee boots are super popular right now, and her pair looks fabulous on her. She kept her jewelry simple with a cute choker.
I love how she styled her hair in French braids; it looks simple yet cool. This hairstyle is also an easy way to keep your hair out of the way that looks great. She kept her makeup simple to balance her look. This Fashionista looked amazing all together. It’s important that you don’t overdo it on the brands which she balanced well.
