These days more and more people are dressing for comfort. We want to be able throw something on and go. But comfort does not need to trump style, the two can be melded together. When you take the risk and combine the two, you can get a pretty cool outfit.
When I think of comfy clothes the first thing that comes to my mind are sweatpants. But we can’t wear sweatpants every day even though that would be great. A perfect alternative are velvet pants. Velvet has skyrocketed in popularity. It is everywhere, from tops, to pants, to even shoes and the fabric is stylish and comfortable, which is the best of both worlds.
This Fashionista is on top of some of the hottest trends that have come up this season. Pairing ’70s-inspired velvet bell-bottoms with a cool graphic T-shirt was nothing short of genius. Graphic and band T-shirts are the easiest pieces you can use to look cool while being comfortable. She pulled everything together by adding an oversize denim jacket and tossing a denim backpack over her shoulder. You wouldn’t think that these four pieces could go together, but sometimes the most unlikely items make the best outfits.
I think that this Fashionista’s outfit is really cool, a little bit funky, and most definitely comfortable. So, next time you wake up in the morning and think to yourself, “I just want to be comfortable.” Remember, you don’t have to forgo style for comfort. Try to think out of the box, because you might surprise yourself.
