Being that it’s 20 degrees outside and it’s the second week of classes, I can already tell that this semester is going to be a drag. It is freezing, which means everyone is trying their best to focus in class rather than counting down the minutes until the lecture is over. Let’s be real, we all can’t wait until the moment where we get to run home, jump in our beds, and wrap ourselves in blankets while watching our favorite Netflix original. However, this doesn’t mean we shouldn’t try our best at looking great for our 8 am’s. So, while we argue about the cold weather, I can make getting dressed a little easier for you this month with a piece that can be worn with anything as easy as leggings and sneakers almost anywhere you go.
Fur was everywhere this fall. At first, the trend seemed like a win-win situation: those eager to invest in a mink coat will find dozens of options in August, while girls who prefer animal-friendly outerwear can take their pick from fashionable faux versions. I mean, it’s all about staying warm so whatever you do, go to your local thrift shop and purchase an amazing piece you won’t ever regret buying. Think about it—you need to get to class and are wearing leggings, an oversize T-shirt, and sneakers. Instead of throwing on a hoodie, slipping into a furry statement coat will make the look in seconds and that’s just for when you’re going to class. Imagine what a furry coat can do for a more sophisticated look. Since fur can come in colors and patterns, it makes it so much easier to say yes and swipe your credit card. All you have to do now is find the one that’s perfect for you.
I decided to pair my favorite black jeans with a simple black long-sleeve shirt tucked in with a belt. By keeping the look as simple as wearing all black makes throwing a fur coat over your shoulders easy-peasy. For accessories, I added a champagne diamond ear cuff, creating a more authentic look. I’d say this look is perfect for work, class, a girl’s night out, date night, or simply running errands. Keeping it casual but also being dressed to the nines is a must. So, let’s add some fur in our closets and make this winter as warm as possible by looking chic as ever.
