Hey Fashionistas/os! Here in Toronto, the cold seems to not be putting people in the best of fashion moods. Even though the snow is falling and the cold makes everyone want to cozy up by a fire, there should be nothing stopping you from staying warm and cozy while looking stylish at the same time!
When walking around campus, I had to enter and exit a lot of buildings in order to get from one class to the next. In that short time, from building to building, I found that a lot of students would just put on a big jacket or scarf and brave the cold. Although that pairing can never go wrong, it lacks the unique style I love to see on my campus!
My style advice for you guys, is to keep it fashionable while you’re dressing for these colder, winter months. This Fashionista went for a casual sneaker and loose-fitted jeans, keeping comfort one of her main priorities. With a large tote bag, she is able to carry all the things she needs in her day and add to the fashionable, yet practical, outfit! She describes her faux leather and fur coat as “super thick and very warm” and it also acted as a sort of scarf, once zipped up. The fast flip between indoors and outdoors that we do on campus can change your body heat quite fast. So a good jacket with a warm collar can remove the bulkiness of wearing too many things. She finished off her outfit with an Adidas baseball cap. Which once again, is practical for keeping heat in your body and also plays on the casual aspects of her outfit.
Undeniably, this Fashionista is fully equipped to handle the cold and she looks super cute while doing it!
So, while all of you are kicking off your New Year, hitting the books and trying to stay warm, don’t forget to let your inner Style Guru shine through!
