The middle of winter in North Carolina tends to be an awkward time when it comes to the weather. In the morning, it will be cold enough that you need to be wearing outerwear, but by noon the temperature goes up to around 60 degrees Fahrenheit. So you end up either having to change your outfit throughout the day or trying to find ways to make your outfit weather appropriate so that it will last you the entire day!
This Fashionista found a way to make her outfit weather appropriate by mixing up trends that ended up not only keeping her warm in the morning but also looking stylish throughout the entire day.
She paired her floral print dress with an adorable white faux fur vest. Working from the floral pattern on her dress, this Fashionista accessorized her look by adding a pink cross-body bag, a lace choker, and oversized sunglasses. Her olive green thigh high boots were a bold choice that complemented the overall look of her outfit. Another bold choice this Fashionista made was adding a pair of light blue earrings which complements the royal blue on her dress making you appreciate the overall look of her outfit.
This Fashionista mixed two trends to make a weather appropriate outfit for a typical day on campus at UNCG. Finding a happy medium between warm and trendy is totally possible. Hopefully you can use this Fashionista’s outfit for style inspiration if you also live in a place where the weather tends to drastically change throughout the day, or just as inspiration on how to successfully mix trends!!!
