New Jersey’s weather has been all over the place lately, so picking out an outfit for a date can be tricky for us Fashionistas. For the days when it’s too cold to just wear a jacket or the days when the sun beats down a little too hard, you need a fashion backup plan.
On this particular day, this Fashionista wore a flannel, turtleneck bodysuit, boyfriend jeans, booties and tied the outfit together with her favorite rings. The essentials of the day were the turtleneck bodysuit and the flannel. There was a definite chill in the air, but throughout the day there was a possibility of the weather getting too warm to wear the flannel. My advice is whenever there’s a slight chance of a temperature change, bring layers. Wear the turtleneck bodysuit, but then tie the flannel around your waist, which keeps the outfit trendy, yet casual. If you’re wearing this to a nighttime dinner date, like this Fashionista did, then trading the flannel for the leather jacket is a cute way to turn this day look into a night look. On the other end of the spectrum, if Mother Nature decides to go from warm to cold you’ll need a little more to cover you up. You can keep the flannel around your waist, but it’s important to wear a coat so you don’t get sick. You wont need a scarf since you’ll be wearing a turtleneck and the flannel will make the look more laid back.
The feedback on the outfit was all positive since she was able to balance out the temperature as she pleased. I hope this helped y’all if you share the same winter temperature struggles! Looking forward to more styling advice throughout the semester!
