When the temperature is dropping in the winter, a warm and comfy outfit becomes an essential part of every Fashionista’s life. I favor looks that are simple but full of thoughtful details. Being a Fashionista is not only about what clothes you wear, but also about how much attention you put on details.
I saw this Fashionista outside the National Museum of Scotland, which is only a street away from where I study, on a windy Edinburgh day. Her bright red hair makes a perfect contrast with the olive coat she was wearing, the wonderful color caught my eyes and attracted me to get closer and talk to her. This Fashionista has the ability to match her entire outfit perfectly in both style and color. She knows exactly what she wants to highlight in one outfit and she understands what suits her body the best. There are only three colors that you can find on her; red, olive and black. However, these colors would not drive people to think she’s wearing a boring outfit, because she employed exciting contrasts between colors and textiles. The texture of the black pom-pom hat is different to her black scarf, and the black shoulder bag has a different leather finish to her black flat ankle boots. A pair of soft black leggings add a matte touch which helps to highlight her boots, coat, and hair. Looking closely, she has an elegant manicure done which matches the color of her hair, and there are some delicate silver rings on both of her hands to finalize this look.
It was a great pleasure to take photos for this Fashionista. The whole photo shooting process only took five minutes because she looks amazing from any angle. To light up your basic outfits, it is always an important rule to only highlight one to two points, and also keep the details in mind to integrate your whole look.
