When I was younger, I remember being jealous of all the kids who had glasses. All I wanted was to have a cool pair of frames to slide on my face every morning. Then, one day, when I couldn’t see the whiteboard in school anymore my mom took me to get my first pair of glasses. Now, nine years later and what feels like an endless amount of contacts and glasses styles, sometimes I wish I could open my eyes in the morning and just see clearly. But the good thing about all those years that have passed: now at least, glasses are cool again thanks to companies like Warby Parker and Bonlook.
This Fashionista was rocking some rad clear frames, which made her entire outfit pop. Online sites have an abundance of different looks to chose from, but lately clear glasses have been the look I’ve been seeing around town. Her look was very minimalistic. It consisted of subtle makeup with a small cat-eye. She chose a classic striped shirt with black skinny jeans. I also love how this Fashionista contrasted the look of black stripes and black pants with brown woven leather sandals and a brown bag.
What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “I like to keep things pretty minimal, but that doesn’t mean boring. On a day-to-day basis I also try to keep things comfortable. I chose the glasses because I wanted something different other than the basic tortoiseshell coloring and I think the bigger frames suit my face.”
