Accessories give us the freedom to add detail that explains more of our style. I love adding a simple touch of something unique to each outfit. This summer, there are many accessory trends emerging. From bandanas to embellished bags, one of my favorites to spot on Fashionistas are chokers.
I wouldn’t exactly categorize my style as edgy or grunge, however, I love looking to others who have an edgy style just like this fabulous Fashionista. Styling herself in band T-shirts, statement metal jewelry and her favorite Ray-Bans to any outfit, this Fashionista is someone who pulls off every daring piece so well.
In this outfit, she keeps it simple in a black bodysuit with white high-waisted jeans. Then, throws on a pair of wedges and black sunglasses. Most importantly, her black choker brings the outfit together. This one trend is an extra touch to the outfit which will grab the attention of anyone passing by.
Chokers can be done so many unique ways and are even shown throughout so many different types of styles and fabrics. For instance, there’s chokers in leather, lace and suede. On the runway, they have been showcased by designers like Christian Dior and Lanvin, where they have made even more of a statement by creating them out of metal.
What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “I usually stick to neutral colors but switch it up by adding a touch of something unique with an accessory that most people wouldn’t try on a day-to-day basis.”
