Warning: Students who go to college in the north should not attempt to wear shorts and a tank top in October. I repeat, do not try this at home kids.
We all know the ever so famous saying, “all is fair in love and war.” When it comes to fashion, the same rules apply, which this Fashionista demonstrates for us today. In terms of style, nothing is out of bounds. You can combine pretty much any two styles together within good taste; even camouflage and crochet.
I’ve always been a fan of camouflage and anything army green, but this outfit just screams another level of cool. I know a one of a kind outfit when I see one, and this outfit was quite the apple to my eye. Nothing excites me more than discovering an original style. I admire this Fashionista’s technique on making a relatively masculine look into a flirty one.
Her crochet camouflage shorts, in my opinion, are the main attraction because it really brings the entire concept of the outfit together. Camo and crochet make for a unique look, as well. The crochet detailing gives it a feminine touch. As far as the top goes, I think that this trendsetter made the right move by keeping it simple by wearing a black tank top.
I like how her black combat boots give the outfit a little bit of a bad girl vibe. But at the same time, the statement necklace she is wearing gives it a balanced look. I really like the neutral tones in the embellishments because it prevents the glam factor from being over-the-top.
If it still feels like summer where you are, take some inspiration form this Fashionista and incorporate fall color into your weather-appropriate ensembles.
What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “I always thought that army green and cargo print were too dull for my sense of style, but I’ve recently discovered that accessories and frills can actually make it feminine.”
