From experimenting with fashion choices over the years, I’ve learned that you don’t have to wear a lot of accessories or clothing items to make your look stand out. Your everyday, signature style could be just wearing a few bracelets and having a no makeup look, and that is perfectly fine. From day to day occasions and casual errands, it’s not necessary to feel like you have to out-dress everyone to make an impact or feel special. Don’t get me wrong, I always like looking my best wherever I go and making sure I seem put together. However, I don’t always don my most flashy accessories and outfits for my everyday experiences.
What I love about this Fashionista’s outfit are her casual and relaxed vibes she emulates. I simply adore her patterned shorts; they’re cute enough to throw on everyday without seeming too overdressed. The black halter top flows seamlessly into the shorts and is also a perfect backdrop for the silver heart necklace. I appreciate this Fashionista’s makeup choices as well. I personally don’t wear a ton of makeup on a day-to-day basis, mostly because I’m too tired or in a rush to deal with it. Regardless, this Fashionista still glows and lights up the room with little to no makeup on. To finish off the outfit she threw on a Ralph Lauren cross-body bag, slipped black bracelets over her wrists and slid into comfy Birkenstock shoes on her way to a shopping trip with friends. Thankfully, even with the seasons changing in southern California, it hasn’t gotten quite too cold yet for a heavy jacket or warmer apparel. I enjoy the casualness of the whole look, and I would even wear this outfit on my way to class or out to lunch.
When you hear the statement “dress to impress,” don’t always believe that you have to don your best outfit to make a lasting impact on someone. On a day-to-day basis, keep it classy, but never too flashy.
