STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Back From Abroad

Studying abroad is known to be one of the best experiences you can have during college. For us Fashionista/os, it is the perfect opportunity to shop for a new wardrobe in some of the most stylish countries in the world. Embracing the hottest trends of the country you stay in is always a part of studying abroad. So when you go back home, how do you incorporate the different cultural trends? This Fashionista just hit down from Barcelona and has mastered the European-American look.

The Fashionista rocks a flowy tank top with dark wash denim. She pairs her simple outfit with a black oversized cardigan. This sweater is perfect for the unpredictable weather drops spring nights are known to have. She also told me that this was a huge trend for spring in Barcelona. It is so versatile in that it can be worn in multiple seasons. Putting the classic blouse and jeans look with this sweater makes the outfit more playful for an everyday look.

The Fashionista accessorizes with a multi-layered choker and platform sneakers, giving her ensemble the European twist. When arriving in Barcelona, she bought the choker from a small boutique, making it her newest fashion statement in the city. The choker perfectly matches her layered necklaces trending in America. The sneakers break up the black in her outfit and give it pop f neutral. She also wears blue mirrored aviators, her number one go-to when walking the streets of the city. These shades are so fun for the day time and spice up the outfit in a European way.

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “Have fun with your wardrobe and don’t think too much into it! My outfits always work the best when I am trying new looks and mix matching the different styles I’ve adapted to. I never realized how important culture was to your specific style.
