With the first week of June officially here, summer is in full swing. Unfortunately, however, that means the struggle of getting dressed has only gotten that much harder. If you’re anything like me, battling the hotter weather while still remaining stylish can be one of the most difficult tasks of the summer. On the bright side, we all thankfully have sites like CollegeFashionista to help us find the easiest ways to beat the heat. This Fashionista especially tackles summer dressing struggles by showcasing the ideal way to rock all-black. The articles she chose create the perfect balance for a grunge-inspired summer look!
Black on black outfits have been around for ages, and will never go out of style. Seriously, when I die, bury me in an all-black Alexander Wang ensemble. Mr Wang showed an all-black collection this fall that gave a strong nod to heavy metal—something this Fashionista clearly channeled in her outfit. Her styling created a cool-girl flair, right down to the choker and Kylie Jenner lip color. The top is my personal favorite (I mean, who could denounce Queen Bey?), especially considering the way she dressed it up with a feminine skirt. I never though a T-shirt could emphasize someone’s waist like this, but the knot in the center really assists in showing off her best assets! By opting for a pair of booties instead of sandals or sneakers, this Fashionista only further expressed her Alexander Wang vibe (which is something I heavily celebrate). Overall, the grungy-glam look has easily become one of my go-to ensembles, and I think this Fashionista nailed it. Hats off to her (and I mean that literally, because who would want to cover up that flawless half-up style?).
Desperate to get your hands on a Beyoncé shirt? Take a note from this Fashionista and make sure to dress it up! Skirts and booties are the perfect combo, with endless options to choose from. Don’t forget to salute the ’90s with a choker, and you’re all set!
