According to urbandictionary.com, Birkenstocks are defined as, “sandals worn by liberals and women in Vermont.” To be honest, the only reason why I knew what Birkenstocks were before they came back in style is because my grandmother has worn them as long as I can remember. Many people might vouch that this shoe is the ugliest one ever to be made. However, Birkenstocks have been seen on the feet of numerous celebrities lately like Usher, Heidi Klum and Ashley Olsen. It’s safe to say that these “hippie” sandals are back with vengeance.
