In the past, I have seen so many articles discussing color trends stating that pink is the new black, or orange is the new black (greatest television show ever by the way). There are countless other colors that are supposed to be replacing black as the most popular color to wear, but I am here to tell you that black is here to stay.
Black was seen so many times on the runway for the fall/winter 2015 season. Alexander Wang, Prada and Saint Laurent are just a few of the designers that showed many black pieces in their collection.
With black being such a major trend right now, many are starting to wear the color in different ways. Black can be a way to dress classy and elegant or as a way for someone to look edgier by wearing all black and vamping up their look. This Fashionista clearly portrays the edgier side of black with her all-black ensemble. The mixing and matching of different black fabrics keeps this look from falling flat by drawing the eye to so many different textures. The Fashionista paired a leather skirt with a soft sweater and textured leggings along with some edgy black biker boots. To top it all off, she paired her all-black outfit perfectly with gold accent jewelry.
What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “You can never go wrong with the color black. Over half of my closet consists of the color and I always love pairing outfits with black tights for an edgier look. Black literally goes with everything so you can really play around to find your own style.”
