Rise and shine Fashionistas! This week’s Fashionista is from the beautiful island of San Juan, Puerto Rico. This fall, I’ve been able to capture not only classic looks styled by style icons, but also personal inspirations from the fashion world. It is definitely the fall season, where the in-between stage brings along a warm, but cool climate. Along with the occassional rainy weather.
This Fashionista definitely knows how to dress for the weather here in D.C. by adding her favorite element; her favorite oversized velvet vintage cardigan. Underneath one of her most favorite pieces, she decided to wear an all white ensemble by pairing her white crop top and boyfriend capri pants. By wearing an all-white classic outfit, she is able to make her vintage cardigan stand out. This Fashionista is also able to extenuate the darker colors and animal print of the cardigan.
Another piece that complements her outfit and the weather are her edgy black rain booties.The tall black rain boots are so original and they are perfect for the city’s weather. To take her oufit to the next level, she adds a classy black clutch and adds a gold belt for sophistication. No girl can ever go wrong with bedazzling herself with jewelry. Silver jewelry has always been in, but this Fashionista definitely strives for a more vintage and classic look. She adds gold turquoise bracelets, gold earrings, gold rings and her most favorite accessory of all, her summer cool blue Dior glasses. One of the accessories that stands out in her outfit would be her gold rosary. This definitely adds a taste of her culture and beliefs, and how one can even make a necklace her personal jewelry statement.
What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “I would definitely say oversized cardigans are always my go-to. I love wearing an outfit underneath that complements my overall outfit, but adds a more vintage flavor to your style. Plus, there are so many colors, patterns and sizes you can choose from!”
