With summer quickly approaching in Chicago, we have not completely transitioned into our summer wardrobes. Late spring weather changes every few hours here (never rely on your weather app). From rain to high winds to beautiful sunshine, we get to experience it all—in just one day! This Fashionista has mastered the art of dressing for unpredictable weather, while incorporating one of my favorite trends: patterned pants!
Patterned pants are so versatile for any occasion, they can be dressed down as well as up depending on the cut and fit. She is wearing a classic, polka-dot patterned, high-waisted trouser. The narrow shape of this pant elongates her figure for a sophisticated look where as the palazzo pant with a wide leg cut creates more of a causal and effortless touch on bold pattern pants.
This Fashionista rocks her bold printed pants with a simple sweater top. This outfit is a perfect example of how easy it is to incorporate accessories, even with a loud print. Her white statement necklace ties in the colors of the look, as well as her shoes. Black wedges are certainly a must when it comes to walking in the city because they serve in two very important ways: fashion and function. These black wedges are a perfect transition peice that can be styled day to night. This style of open toe sandals are on trend, especially with the approaching summer months.
