Let’s hear it for the boys. Although this is my first article featuring a Fashionisto this semester, this campus is teeming with fashionable males and I’ve just been waiting for the right one to come along. This Fashionisto’s outfit was truly spot on. When I saw him strolling through campus in his cool attire with an attitude to match I had to stop him to chat about his style and take a few pictures.
His outfit carried some flavor with it and his individuality really shines through this look. His outfit and overall demeanor was very laid back, yet exuded a great amount of confidence. His African-inspired elephant print shirt was hipster-chic and very cool. Short sleeve button-down shirts that are either a solid color or a fun print are very in style for spring and perfect for a hot day walking around the UCF campus. I also love that he chose to pair the shirt with black jeans that have a little added flare with leather knee patches. His leather sneakers finished off the casual look and kept the ensemble unique and unified.
This outfit was stylish and cool but I think the best part of the whole hing is the Fashionisto’s disposition. I honestly believe that there is nothing trendier than confidence and individuality and this Fashionisto put both on display with his original outfit.
What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “If you see something that you like, wear it. I used to be afraid to wear things I liked because I felt like I couldn’t pull it off. But by simply putting it on, you’re already pulling it off. Don’t be afraid to be different. When you care about what people think about your look, you are compromising who you are as an individual. Dress for yourself, not for other people. Seek only your own approval. Fashion is all about expressing your individuality, so express it without shame, because you are beautiful. Don’t be afraid to show who you are. Love yourself and the way you look, and other people will, too.”
