It may already be 2016 and the latest trends in fashion are evolving to new heights, but we can’t fully move forward into the future without a little throwback to the past. This week I put the spotlight on this Fashionisto rocking a sporty-cool ‘90s look with his trendy windbreaker.
One thing I love about throwbacks to iconic time periods such as the ‘90s is how popular styles from this time continues to inspire designers today and how it’s redesigned to fit current trends. This Fashionisto is the perfect example of this because ,in the main photo, he sports a color-blocked windbreaker, similar to the flamboyant vintage jackets from the ‘90s and paired it with black pants and sneakers to give it a more modern look and to contrast the bright top.
Here in the rainy state of Washington, water-repelling windbreakers such as the one he is wearing, is a staple item all year-round and will always be in style especially during this time of the year because of the unpredictable weather conditions here. Since the material of these windbreakers are fairly thin, you can easily layer hoodies and sweatshirts underneath it or wear it under a thick jacket. It’s also a great piece to carry into spring because it’s light enough to wear it just on top of a t-shirt without it being too warm.
