If any of you Fashionistas out there are like me you don’t see the summer being filled with endless crop tops. Yes, sometimes they’re necessary when its 97 degrees outside with 150 percent humidity, and occasionally I love a good crop top in a matching separate outfit or with a pair of high-waisted jeans on a cool summer night. This Fashionista completely took me by surprise with her ensemble.
Instead of pulling out the basic cotton crop out of your drawer try finding a great draped tank top or a shirt with a low back for a little something different. The second I saw the elephants on this Fashionista’s shirt, I was in love; then when she turned around and I saw that the slightest bit of her back was exposed for a little interest I had to know where she bought it. I think this shirt would also look awesome paired with some baggy boyfriend jeans. These dark high-waisted shorts look great with her look because boy was this a hot summer day. Of course, I am obsessing over her T-strap Birkenstocks and her Ray-Ban Erika sunglasses. Her look is a mature take on a summer trend of wanting to show a little midriff skin without being too revealing or obvious.
What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “I love the idea of a simple outfit with a little something extra like the opening in the back of this shirt. It’s still conservative, but it’s trendy. The elephants are very cute too!”
